Festival Theme: Celebrating 30 years
This year’s Historic Festival & Doors Open Edmonton proudly celebrates its 30th birthday. The 2026
theme honours three decades of storytelling, community connection, and heritage preservation across
the Edmonton region. Partners and participants are invited to reflect on milestones, memories, and
moments that have shaped their organizations and communities, while looking ahead to the future of
heritage, arts and culture. Through special events, tours and programming, the festival will celebrate
the people, places and stories that have built this legacy — and those that will carry it forward for the
next generation.
